A Consultation Is Not a Sales Pitch

A good injectable consultation should not start with, “What can we add?” It should start with, “What are you hoping to see?”

Some patients want to soften lines that are beginning to bother them. Some feel they look tired. Some have had filler elsewhere and want a more conservative approach. Others are completely new to injectables and want to understand their options without pressure.

All of those are valid reasons to schedule a consultation.

Step One: Your Goals

The most important part of the appointment is the conversation. I want to know what you notice, what you like about your face, what concerns you, and what “natural” means to you.

I also want to understand your comfort level. Some patients prefer a gradual approach. Some have a specific event or timeline. Some need time to think. A good plan respects all of that.

Step Two: Facial Balance, Not Isolated Features

A face is not a collection of separate treatment areas. The forehead, brows, cheeks, eyes, lips, chin, jawline, and skin quality all relate to one another.

That does not mean everyone needs full-face treatment. It means any treatment should be considered in context. Treating a single feature without considering the rest of the face can create a result that feels disconnected.

Step Three: Choose the Right Tool—or No Tool

Injectables can be useful, but they are not always the answer.

  • Botox may be considered for movement-related lines.
  • Dermal filler may be considered for selected areas of volume or structure.
  • Laser treatment may be more appropriate for texture, tone, or sun damage.
  • Skincare may be the right foundation before any procedure.
  • A surgical consultation with Dr. Lambiris may be appropriate for some concerns.

Part of responsible aesthetic care is knowing when an injectable treatment will not address the patient’s actual goal.

Step Four: Build a Plan You Can Live With

Your plan should account for more than the ideal visual result. It should also consider:

  • Your budget
  • Your downtime tolerance
  • Your timeline and upcoming events
  • Whether you want to begin conservatively
  • Whether a staged plan makes more sense

You are never required to do everything discussed at a consultation. Education is the goal. The decision is yours.

What to Bring to Your Appointment

You do not need to arrive with a perfect vocabulary or a precise treatment request. It can help to bring:

  • A list of medications and relevant health history
  • Photos of results you like or dislike
  • Questions you want answered
  • Details about previous injectable treatments, if applicable
  • Important upcoming dates or events

FAQ

Do I need to know whether I want Botox or filler before I book?

No. Book a consultation and we can discuss the options that fit your concern.

Will I be pressured to buy a package?

No. The consultation is designed to educate you and help you make an informed decision.

Can we make a plan and treat later?

Yes. Some patients prefer to take time after a consultation before deciding.

What if I want very subtle results?

Tell me. A conservative or staged approach can be part of your plan.
